Four miles from here, near Letterfrack village, (where the Connemara Bog Week is held each year, leading up to the June Bank-holiday, a ten-day multi-layered authentic, inclusive festival celebrating the Connemara landscape, and the Connemara Sea Week is held October bank-holiday for a celebration of our Marine Heritage). Connemara National Park, where many hours can be spent exploring, climbing, walking, or just take a relaxing stroll, “The Diamond Hill, one of the features of the park a great place to climb and view many of the Twelve Pins range of mountains and some of the stunning views to be seen while doing this climb”.
